Divorcing Countess Could Be Slumming It on $43 Million Per Year.

Swedish born Countess Marie Douglas-David, 36, is divorcing her CEO husband and  demanding $100 million to cover her expenses. The Countess claims that she will require at least $53,000 per week to cover costs that include maintenance on the couples several properties, her personal trainer, clothing, and her driver. Mrs. David claims that the $43 million deal outlined in their postnuptial agreement is simply not enough for her to live on now. The former investment banker claims she has no income and needs husband David George, the Chairman of United Technologies to cover her basic expenses so she can continue her current lifestyle.

Twice Divorced Robin Williams Postpones Performances

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

Robin Williams, who filed for divorce from second wife of 19 years last March, has postponed 4 live performances due to shortness of breath. Williams is currently being evaluated by doctors who have recommended that he take a week off to rest. The statement just released says that the comedian, now 57, will reschedule the missed performances of the “Weapons of Self Destruction” tour which began in September of 2008.

How Does the Prenuptial Process Work?

The process of preparing a marital agreement will begin with a discussion by both parties in order to establish goals and objectives. The second step will be for each party to hire their own attorney from different firms. One will be retained to draft the agreement and the other attorney will be hired to review the draft. For the agreement to be enforceable, each party must make a fair and reasonable disclosure of their debts and assets and exchange financial data.

The process of drafting and preparing a prenuptial or postnuptial agreement in Colorado can minimize the stress of both parties when they agree early on about how to divide their assets in the event of a divorce.
