Can I File for Divorce on My Own?

When an individual decides to be "pro se", or to represent themselves in a divorce action rather than using an attorney, they should be aware that it can be difficult to "undo" the orders that are entered in the divorce decree. For this reason, it is always wise to at least consult with an attorney prior to filing for divorce to discuss possible strategies and some of the potential issues that may arise during the proceedings.
