Candace Bushnell, Author of "Sex and the City", has Filed for Divorce in New York City

NEW YORK, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- "Sex and the City" scribe Candace Bushnell has filed for divorce from ballet dancer Charles Askegard after nine years of marriage, the New York Post said.

Bushnell, 53, allegedly discovered after starting divorce proceedings that Askegard, 43, was having an affair with ballerina Georgina Pazcoguin, his frequent collaborator.
 

It is unclear at this time if Ms Bushnell and Mr. Askegard have a prenuptial agreement, or if Mr . Askegard will be dancing again in the Nutcracker.
