Couples Take Vacations with the Marriage Counselor in Tow

In this year's disappointing and far from amusing Hollywood comedy Couples Retreat: Return to Eden, 4 married couples attempt to jump start their marriages by undergoing couples counseling on an island resort. At about the same time the movie was floundering at the boxoffice, a group of Indian travel agents began to market a new twist for a tourism, a divorce package designed to help clients salvage their relationships while vacationing on an island paradise. KV Tours & Travels in Mumbai, sent couples on the verge of divorce on vacation with marriage counselors in tow. "We are trying our best to bring the couple together," says Hirjee, but, he cautions, "We are not destiny changers. Divorce rates in India are among the world's lowest - only around one marriage in 100 fails, as opposed to every one in two in the U.S.
