Divorce Rate in Michigan Declines

November 15, 2010
Categories: Colorado Divorce Info | Author: Harris Law Firm

The Divorce rates in Michigan are declining statewide for two reasons:

1. Couples are marrying later in life, and thus have more realistic expectations about the insitution of marriage

2. The economy in Michigan is suffering and fiances are a factor in the state's lower divorce rate. When a couple divorces, they are dividing their income in half, doubling expenses, and dividing debt, including the debt they incur filing for divorce.
