Kelsey Grammer Will Divide Marital Assets that Exceed $100 Million
Former Fraser star, Kelsey Grammer wants his pending divorce from third wife Camille Grammer to be finalized as soon as possible, but the divorce will cost him a bundle. Grammer has asked the California court that the dissolution of marriage be granted as quickly as possible so he can marry British flight attendant Kayte Walsh. Ms. Walsh will be his fourth wife. Unlike Colorado, where it takes a minimum of 90 days to obtain a divorce, the minimum amount of time that it takes to obtain dissolution of marriage in the State of California is six months after the petition is filed. Camille filed for divorce 1n July, 2010, so if the judge grants Grammar’s request for bifurcation, it could be finalized as soon as this month. Without a signed prenuptial agreement stipulating otherwise, marital assets according to California law are to be divided evenly. Sources indicate that since they married 13 years ago, the couple has acquired homes in New York, Hawaii, California, and Colorado. Between real estate holdings and other investments, Camille’s share of the marital estate could be in the range of $50 million.
