Partner Stephen Vertucci Promotes Literacy in Fort Collins

As a part of the Fort Collins Rotary Breakfast Club, Stephen Vertucci, Partner with The Harris Law Firm, sells Palisade peaches to raise funds to purchase hard cover, color dictionaries to be given to each third grader in the Poudre Valley school district.  The program is a part of Rotary READ, a section of Rotary devoted to promoting literacy and enthusiasm for reading among elementary students in the Fort Collins area.

This year’s program was a resounding success.  Over 1800 cases of peaches were sold which helped purchase 2500 dictionaries.  In September, Mr. Vertucci distributed dictionaries to surprised third graders at St. Joseph Catholic School.   The remainder of the dictionaries will be distributed to each third grader in Fort Collins during the month of October.
