The Harris Law Firm Supports the Women and Children of The Haven
The Harris Law Firm supported the women and children of The Haven at a fundraiser on October 18th at the Denver Athletic Club.
The Haven is an 89-bed Modified Therapeutic Community (MTC) located in Denver, Colorado for women, mothers and their infants. Licensed by the Colorado Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division (ADAD), the program offers long-term, intensive treatment for clients with addictions. Clients are referred from the Department of Human Services, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), the criminal justice system, homeless shelters, friends and family members, or through self-referral.
Established in 1992, The Haven was the first program in Colorado to accept infants into residence while their mothers received substance abuse treatment – keeping children out of the foster care system. The Haven is part of the Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS) program of the University of Colorado Denver. Today, The Haven is five facilities located on the Ft. Logan campus and can serve up to 38 pregnant or post-partum women and their infants
