National Volunteer Awareness Week is upon us, and The Harris Law Firm would like to honor all selfless individuals and organizations who make our communities better places, and inspire us to do the same.
Without the efforts of all those who volunteer their time and resources, the world would truly be a different place. Thank you to all volunteers!
National Volunteer Week, held this year from April 7 - April 13, 2019, is a time for celebrating the amazing contributions of volunteers, how important volunteerism is to our communities and how it can provide a sense of personal fulfillment. An annual event observed in countries across the world, NVW first began in 1943 in Canada, as became an official week of observance in the U.S. in 1974.
As of 2019, countries the likes of New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and others now formally celebrate the week of thanks and awareness for volunteers. National Volunteer Week is organized by Points of Light.
NVM provides a much-needed opportunity to promote volunteer work and engagement across the board, and show appreciation for those who dedicate their personal time to helping others and bettering the places, people, and causes they care about. We’re happy to be a part of this year’s celebration, and encourage you to get involved as well!
