Resources and Information for LGBTQ+ Couples
As of 2015 the United States recognizes same-sex marriage and while marriage equality is at an all time high, societal equality has a long ways to go. As the definitions of marriage and familial structures become more democratized to include individuals of different genders and identities, we know that the definitions of divorce may change along with it. At the Harris Law Firm, we aim to support couples and families, regardless of how accurately they stick to traditional societal structures.
The following resources are only the beginning of what will be a large body of resources discussing the legal ramifications of non-traditional families. As families continue to shift and change, the law rightfully changes to accommodate the reality of daily life.
