Amanda Reeves is a family law attorney with the Harris Law Firm. Amanda’s passion for family law began early on in her career as a student at Syracuse University College of Law, from which she graduated cum laude with a certificate in family law. Prior to joining the Harris Law Firm, Amanda worked in various areas of the law including bankruptcy and disability law. Amanda also worked as a staff attorney at the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Working with therapists taught Amanda the importance of trying to resolve conflict in an amicable way, particularly in the context of families where relationships do not necessarily end even though they may change over time. As a family law attorney, Amanda places a high importance on listening to her clients and their unique circumstances so that she can help them design solutions that make sense for them and their family.
There is no one-size-fits-all solution to families going through a divorce or allocation of parental responsibilities process. Marriage and parenting are hard and legal proceedings related to those issues are sometimes harder, but they do not have to be. Amanda strives to help clients through the dissolution or allocation of parental responsibilities process with as much ease as possible so that they can begin the next phase of their lives.
Amanda is a licensed attorney in Colorado, the District of Columbia, and New York. Prior to attending law school, Amanda earned a BA in Political Science and Foreign Languages (German) from the University of Northern Colorado.
Amanda is very happy to be back in her home state of Colorado. When she is not working on behalf of clients, Amanda enjoys all that the Colorado mountains have to offer.
