Joseph E. Brown

Joseph E. Brown is an experienced Colorado Family Law Attorney at The Harris Law Firm. A Wichita native, Joe earned his B.A. from Kansas State University, where his time on the debate team sparked his interest in law and public policy. His fervor for presenting thoughtfully prepared, impassioned arguments remains one of the driving forces behind his ability to protect the rights and interests of clients facing all types of divorce, child custody, and family law matters.

While earning his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation (Master of Laws) degrees from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Joe worked as a law clerk for solo practitioners in Michigan, handling an array of civil and criminal cases in trial and appellate courts across the state. This experience shaped his desire to start a practice of his own when moving to Colorado, where he represented clients up and down the Front Range in a variety of legal matters.

As a member of The Harris Law Firm legal team, Joe is unwavering in his commitment to providing personalized and practical legal representation that is responsive to clients’ needs and goals, and which adheres to the highest ethical standards of the law. Joe is also attuned to the fact that each case presents its own set of circumstances and challenges, and approaches every matter he handles as a unique opportunity to help clients through some of the most difficult experiences in their lives.

When not advocating for clients, Joe is an active member of the local community. He has volunteered his time to serving on the Castle Rock and Castle Pines Chambers of Commerce, the Douglas and Arapahoe Pro Se Clinics, coaching little league baseball, and coaching and judging debate teams at the middle school, high school, and collegiate level, among other volunteer work. He and his family are proud to call Castle Rock home.
