Megan is a trusted member of The Harris Law Firm, working in the role of a paralegal. Known by her coworkers, family, and friends as a compassionate person at heart, she is a natural when it comes to helping clients stay positive during even the most hotly-contested family law or divorce cases.
In recognition of the law’s ability to protect people in difficult situations, Megan decided that she wanted a career in the legal field, which brought her to paralegal work. She received her paralegal certificate from Metro State University in Denver and quickly sought out to find the right law firm for her. The entire team at The Harris Law Firm is happy to have her here.
Megan is an animal lover. Her passion for critters big and small rang true during one of the first big trial cases that she assisted with after becoming a paralegal. The parties were fighting for ownership of a dog. After our client was awarded primary ownership of the case, the client was crying happy tears, more than Megan had ever seen. Everyone at the firm celebrated the decision with the client and the dog at an awesome client appreciation event at the law office.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Megan has lived in Colorado for about a decade. She has two Australian Shepherds and is soon getting married to her fiancé.
To stay active, she and her fiancé like to hike, ski, or go camping with their dogs. They also love a good sporting event – go, Denver Nuggets, and go, Buffalo Bills! – and she says that her love language is Mexican food. Megan’s community is in the process of building a community garden, which she plans on helping with volunteer work once it is completed.
