HELPING FAMILIES ACROSS COLORADO FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS
|

In recognition of Native American Heritage Month, today we honor Dianne Van Voorhees (Turtle Mountain Chippewa).

Dianne is an attorney with the Harris Law Firm and former Executive Director of Metro Volunteer Lawyers, a pro bono program of the Denver Bar Association that provides people in the Denver Metro area with civil legal services they need.

She has organized free legal clinics for American Indians for several years, and volunteers her time moderating the American Indian Scholars License Plate program’s renewal, which helps provide funding for American Indian students in Colorado.

Dianne also serves on the Board of Trustees at Fort Lewis College. She is the recipient of the Denver American Indian Commission Mayor's Diversity Award and the 2015 Denver Indian Center Local Community Impact Award.
