Attorney Richard Zuber Joins The Harris Law Firm
All of us at The Harris Law Firm are pleased to announce that Attorney Richard Zuber is joining our firm as Special Counsel. Richard’s long-time paralegal, Lea Ann Lyster, will also accompany Richard to the firm, where they will be based primarily out of our Englewood office.
This is a tremendous honor for our team given Richard’s legacy as one of the most skilled, passionate, and proven family lawyers in the state of Colorado, and the country.
While Richard’s reputation precedes him in the legal community, and though it is difficult to do justice to his career of accomplishments, there are a few notable highlights:
- A Focus on Complex Cases – Richard is Founder and Principal of Zuber Law P.C., where he’s focused exclusively on family law for over 40 years. He has a particular emphasis on complex matters concerning high-net worth, the division of unique assets and large estates, professional licensing and business ownership, substance abuse, complex child custody, post-decree modifications, and LGBTQ family law.
- Regional Roots – Richard’s role in Colorado’s family law “culture” cannot be understated; he is a Past President of the Colorado chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, former Chair of the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, and has served on the Board of Directors of CLE of Colorado for 10 years, including two consecutive terms as President of that organization.
- Respected & Experienced Advocate – Among his many awards and professional distinctions, Richard has been named to the prestigious Super Lawyers Magazine every year since 2006, and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America since 2012. His versatility and results-oriented approach allow him to guide clients toward outcomes in the manner most appropriate to their unique situations – be it litigation or alternative dispute resolution such as medication or collaborative law. Richard is also a frequent lecturer on divorce and family law topics, and has published legal works in The Colorado Lawyer, the journal of the Colorado Bar Association, and more.
- Personal Service, High Stakes Experience – Backed by over 40 years of experience, Richard has cultivated an impressive breadth of legal knowledge, as well as an intimate familiarity with local courts, his professional colleagues, and members of the judiciary. Amid highly contested and high-stakes litigation and negotiation concerning hundreds of millions of dollars in assets, Richard emphasizes personalized service, communication, and the thoughtful, meaningful counsel clients need to make informed decisions about their futures.
The Harris Law Firm is so very grateful to welcome Richard Zuber and Lea Ann Lyster to our legal team. We believe their work speaks volumes about their skill and passionate for protecting people’s rights, and that their approach to helping a diverse clientele through difficult experiences aligns with the values upon which our firm was founded!
